Women's Health Programme The Women's Health Programme addresses the diverse health concerns of African women in the UK. Many health concerns are aggravated by cultural, religious and language inhibitions.

The Domestic Violence Program
The Domestic Violence project stems from the Women's Health programme and work closely and consistently with women and young people who have or are living with Domestic Violence. We provide empowerment training, counselling, mediation, advocacy and group therapy. For information about our advocacy procedures click here
This programme funded by the ALG has assisted over 420 women since receiving funding in 2002.
The Training Programme Our training programme incorporates personal development, mentoring and life coaching for women and young people. We provide culturally sensitive training and stress the value of diveristy for both young and old in the community. We also link with other partners and training providers to ensure that our trianing programmes incorporate updates and useful skills for the relevant users.
Skills training conducted include:
- Assertiveness
- Negotiation skills
- Dealing with bullying
- Understanding your rights (young people/women)
- Mental illness, behavioural change and anger management
